“I’ve been imitated so well I’ve heard people copy my mistakes.”
– Jimi Hendrix

Guitar tone is an elusive quest for some of us. We search high and low for the perfect tone through whether it be amps, pedals, strings, picks, and on down the line. There’s many factors that are a part of guitar tone, but the main one is your hands. How you hold strings beneath your finger tips, and how you pick and strum your guitar. Some of us learn by trying to emulate our heroes and some of us take lessons. Your personal tone comes from hours of practice and muscle memory. Anyone can learn to play guitar, but a Master can learn to make the guitar play for him or herself.
